Stacie Sherva
Animal Control Manager

Stacie Sherva is the Killeen Animal Control Manager. She began her Animal Control Career with the City of Round Rock in 1991 on a temporary basis. In 1992 Stacie obtained her Basic and Advanced Animal Control Certification from Texas Department Health in 1992, when she also received her Cruelty Investigation Certification from North Central Texas Council of Governments.
Upon graduation from Travis County Sheriffs Academy in June of 1993 she returned to The City of Round Rock on a full time basis and received her Euthanasia Technician Certification a year later.
In 1995 Stacie went to work for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department as an Animal Control Deputy, then worked with the City of Cedar Park, where she was soon promoted to supervisor. While in this position, she initiated a humane adoption and micro chipping program, for which she was given the honor of Employee of the Year in 2001. She obtained her Administrative Certification, the highest level of certification for an Animal Control professional, from TDH in late 2001.
In 2007 Stacie joined the Humane Society of Williamson County to assist them with their transition from a High-Kill to a No-Kill facility, then transitioned to the City of Granger where she reinvented their animal control program.
In 2008, Stacie became the Animal Control Manager in Killeen. Stacie is married with two children. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 6 years, and a Softball Commissioner for the Hutto Youth Baseball/Softball League.
