What has KASPA done ?
October 2008 KASPA has joined with Killeen Pet Foster to help establish a foster program here in Killeen, next to Fort Hood.
June 2007 KASPA co-hosted a Low Cost Shot Clinic in cooperation with the City of Killeen, Assisi Animal Rescue and Banfield Veterinary Clinic. 270 Animals were vaccinated, nearly 200 city licenses were issued. The most successful low-cost shot clinic in Killeen. About $200 were raised during the sale of concessions.
March 2007: KASPA assisted Kathy's Kitties in capturing 35 cats and having them spayed/neutered at an average cost of $5.45 per cat. This is an ongoing progam. KASPA, in collaboration with Assisi Animal Refuge, provided $140.00 worth of dog and cat collars to accompany Candace Sumrall from Killeen Animal Control on her two week trip to Belmopan, Belize in Central America. Candace is a member of the Belmopan Humane Society. Veterinarians and members of this Humane Society will be operating a two-week spay/neuter clinic in Belmopan. |
